Norman Public School Foundation is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Norman, OK
Job Summary
The Operations Director works closely with the Executive Director to plan and implement fundraising campaigns, maintain donor recognition to support programs, and oversee administrative operations. All aspects of this position are to be aligned with the NPSF policies and procedures and carried out with the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors approval.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for donor stewardship process and timeline
- Maintain donor database
- Follow accurate and timely gift processing standards
- Produce regular statistical information and giving reports
- Prepare tax letters and ensure timely acknowledgment of donors
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data
- Assist with fundraising campaigns/events and facilitate bulk mailings
- Assist with writing grant proposals and developing fundraising opportunities
- Assist with solicitations of gifts and event sponsorships
- Research, identify, and maintain a list of prospective donors
- Process accounts payable, maintain financial records, assist with budget preparation
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Work with contract accountant to reconcile financial records, produce documents for an annual audit, complete 990 form, and generate information for 1099s
- Maintain historical documentation of programs and awards
- Assist with coordination of classroom grants and other NPSF programs
- Manage and maintain records in QuickBooks, Bloomerang, and Excel/Sheets
- Maintain inventory of Foundation printed and promotional materials
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Arrange and coordinate NPSF meeting details and preparation
- Assist with various board committee tasks
- Assist with the implementation of a social media strategy
- Answer incoming calls and take messages as needed
- Perform related work as assigned
Preferred
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Bloomerang, and Excel or similar databases and software
- Professional written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently
- Experience planning large-scale events and fundraisers
Position Details
- Reports to NPSF Executive Director
- Part-time, hourly position 25 hours per week following a consistent schedule
- Work schedule follows Norman Public School District’s Academic Calendar
- Work schedule flexibility offered during June and July
- No insurance or retirement benefits provided
